Jane Tinney grew up in Jamestown, New York .She was interested in art early in her school years and had a great deal of encouragement from her teachers and family. Jane graduated from high school and soon after moved to Florida.  She earned a Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree from Florida International University.

 

 

Today, Jane creates art in her studio in the Bird Road Art District of South Miami. She has a drawing and painting nite on Mondays from 7 to 9. Jane teaches art to those who want to learn the exercises for “tapping into the creative side of the brain”.  Jane has been an instructor for ceramics in the Miami-Dade county public school system for 14 years.  She also enjoys private commission work for painting murals and decorative treatments for furniture and other room accents.

 

Jane and her architect husband reside in South Miami. They are very proud of their family. Dan and Jane have three grown children and each one is pursuing their own creative interests.
